Cartoon Network Studios is currently working on three new exciting projects related to the beloved show “Adventure Time.” These new developments were announced ahead of the Warner Bros. Animation studio focus panel at the Annecy Animation Festival.
One of the projects in the works is an “Adventure Time” movie, although details about this are still limited. What we do know is that the movie will feature a talented lineup of creators, including Rebecca Sugar, Patrick McHale, and Adam Muto, who are all veterans of the original show.
In addition to the movie, two new series are also in development. The first series, titled “Adventure Time: Side Quests,” will be a kids’ show that takes viewers back in time to when Finn was a young boy dreaming of epic adventures with his dog, Jake. Unlike the original series, “Side Quests” will focus on stand-alone episodes featuring early versions of beloved characters like The Ice King.
The second new series is called “Adventure Time: Heyo BMO,” a preschool show centered around the popular video game console character, BMO. In this series, BMO and a group of new friends navigate challenges suitable for younger audiences. The project will be helmed by Adam Muto and Ashlyn Anstee.
These new projects are part of Cartoon Network Studios’ efforts to expand the “Adventure Time” universe and provide fans with more content to enjoy.
