Amorepacific Appoints Giovanni Valentini as North America CEO

Korea’s leading beauty company, Amorepacific, has announced the appointment of Giovanni Valentini as the new CEO of its North America Regional Headquarters, effective June 1, 2024.

Valentini’s primary focus will be to drive the strategic vision of Amorepacific in the North American market. This includes strengthening the organizational structure, optimizing operations, and promoting the business objectives of core brands such as Laneige, Innisfree, and Sulwhasoo, along with new brands entering the market. Additionally, he will be responsible for overseeing the US-based brand Tata Harper Skincare, which was acquired by Amorepacific in 2022.

With a wealth of experience in the beauty industry, Valentini previously served as the General Manager of Lancôme USA at L’Oréal’s Luxe Division. He also held leadership positions at Armani Beauty, Kiehl’s, and Unilever brands in various regions, showcasing his exceptional business acumen.

Amorepacific’s North American business has been experiencing significant growth in recent years. In 2023, the company saw a remarkable 58% increase in North American sales compared to the previous year, surpassing industry averages. As a result, the North American segment now accounts for 20.5% of Amorepacific’s international business, up from 5.5% in 2021. Key skincare brands like Laneige, Innisfree, and Sulwhasoo have played a crucial role in driving this growth.

In a strategic move, Amorepacific has reassigned Robin Na, the former head of North America, to lead the company’s operations in Japan. This decision aligns with the company’s efforts to expand its customer base in the Japanese market.
