A 17-year-old teenager was seriously injured by a stab wound Monday afternoon in the Montreal-North borough, following a conflict which allegedly degenerated into a possible theft of bicycles.

The tragedy occurred around 4:40 p.m. on avenue Pelletier near boulevard Henri-Bourassa.

According to initial information, a conflict degenerated between several individuals in connection with a possible theft of bicycles. “One of them allegedly pulled out a bladed weapon and inflicted injuries on the victim’s upper body,” said spokesperson for the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM), Sabrina Gauthier. .

The teenager was transported to hospital in a condition considered critical.
