ASUS has been making waves at Computex 2024 with a slew of exciting announcements, including the introduction of the ROG Ally X gaming handheld and a range of new laptops. Now, the tech giant has turned its attention to monitors, unveiling a variety of innovative entertainment and content creation models, including its very first Google TV-equipped display and impressive 8K ProArt monitors.

One of the standout offerings is the ASUS ZenScreen Smart MS27UC, a 27-inch 4K (IPS) display that boasts ultra-thin bezels and a compact stand. What sets this monitor apart is its integration of Google TV, complete with a remote featuring a built-in Google Assistant microphone. The display also features front-firing 5W Harman Kardon speakers, a headphone port, and a convenient rear shelf for storing peripherals like a keyboard, mouse, and the Google TV remote. In terms of connectivity, the ZenScreen Smart offers a DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 port, USB-C (PD 90W), dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and Miracast support.

In addition to the ZenScreen Smart, ASUS has unveiled a range of high-end ProArt displays geared towards content creators. The ASUS ProArt Display 8K PA32KCX stands out as the world’s first 8K mini-LED professional monitor, boasting a stunning 7,680 x 4,320 resolution and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. With Mini LED technology featuring 4,096 local dimming zones, this display offers exceptional color accuracy with a delta E of less than 1, true 10-bit color, and 97 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It also includes a motorized flip colorimeter for automatic calibration and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-speed connectivity.

Joining the ProArt lineup are the 27-inch ProArt 5K PA27JCV and 32-inch ProArt 6K PA32QCV displays, offering resolutions of 5,120 x 2,880 and 6,016 x 3,384 respectively. These displays feature LuxPixel technology with an anti-glare coating that provides a “paper-like” viewing experience without compromising image quality. Both models boast 99 percent DCI-P3 coverage, a delta E of less than 2, and DisplayPort over USB-C connectivity with 96W power delivery.

ASUS also showcased innovative dual-screen displays like the ZenScreen Duo OLED, featuring a 14-inch 16:10 FHD OLED display that can expand to 21 inches for enhanced productivity. While pricing and availability details for these new displays have yet to be announced, they represent ASUS’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of monitor technology and delivering cutting-edge solutions for consumers and professionals alike.
