(Toronto) Neil Young and his “Crazy Horse” band are taking an “unplanned major break” from their North American tour after some members of the troupe fell ill.

The band has canceled all remaining shows on the Love Earth Tour in the United States and Canada, including the Ottawa Bluesfest on July 11.

A statement posted Wednesday on Neil Young’s website said some of the musicians fell ill after a show in Detroit in May and have not yet fully recovered. The statement did not specify which members of the group became ill.

The release said the troupe will attempt to make up some of the missed dates when they are “ready to rock again.”

Ottawa Bluesfest said Thursday that anyone who purchased a ticket for the July 11 show or a “Pick 3” pass will receive more details when they become available. In a Facebook post, the festival announced that The Offspring would replace Neil Young.
