Barry Keoghan in Talks for Crime 101 Film with ‘Shades of Heat’

Barry Keoghan, known for his work in the film American Animals, is reportedly in negotiations to star alongside Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo in a new adaptation of Don Winslow’s novella Crime 101. The film, to be directed by Bart Layton, is said to have shades of the classic film Heat as it follows high-level jewel thefts linked to Colombian cartels along the Pacific Coast.

Detective Lou Lubesnick, portrayed as a determined character in the novella, is set to play a key role in the film as he pursues a thief looking for one last big score. Keoghan’s involvement in the project comes after his recent success at the Cannes Film Festival with the premiere of Bird, directed by Andrea Arnold.

Fans of Keoghan and crime thrillers alike are eagerly anticipating more details about this upcoming project. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting new film.
