Before the EU elections, Federal Foreign Minister Baerbock praised the European Union as a guarantor of peace and freedom. Green Party leader Lang hopes for a good election result.

“This great fortune of the European Union did not fall from the sky, especially for us Germans,” said Baerbock on Friday evening at a Green Party campaign event for the European elections in Cologne. Other countries had forgiven Germany after the war and placed new trust in it – the European Union was built on that. Now everything must be done to ensure that the people of Ukraine can one day live in peace and freedom again.

Supporting Ukraine does not contradict peace talks, but is on the contrary a prerequisite for them, said Baerbock to loud applause in the Ehrenfeld district, one of the largest Green strongholds in Germany.

Green Party leader Ricarda Lang pointed out that, according to initial forecasts, the European elections in the Netherlands had been won by an alliance of the Greens and Social Democrats. The radical right-wing party of the populist Geert Wilders only came in second place. It was therefore possible to beat the right-wing. The predicted shift to the right was “not set in stone,” she said.

Serious allegations are rocking the Graz University Hospital. A neurosurgeon is said to have taken her underage daughter into the operating room and actively participated in the operation.

A 19-year-old mother in Ukraine tried to sell her young son (2) for more than 22,000 euros. She now faces up to 15 years in prison.
