President Biden’s lead among women is smaller than former President Trump’s lead among men, which could be a warning sign for the Democrats. A recent poll of female voters shows that concerns about inflation are still a top priority for women, even though the issue of abortion could potentially motivate Democratic women in states where it is on the ballot.

Although President Biden’s support among women has decreased, it is still stronger compared to his support among men. His lead among women has decreased to approximately eight percentage points since the 2020 election, based on an average of over 30 polls conducted in the last six months and compiled by The New York Times. This is a decrease from the 13 percentage point lead he had four years ago.

On the other hand, former President Trump’s support among men has rebounded since the 2020 election, now back to the double-digit lead he had in 2016. Historically, Republicans have typically had an advantage among men in presidential elections, while Democrats have led among women.

President Biden’s decline in support is especially noticeable among Black and Hispanic women, according to recent polls conducted by KFF, a nonprofit organization focusing on health care research, in various states including Arizona and Michigan.

These findings highlight the importance of women’s support for President Biden and the Democratic Party in general. With the upcoming elections, Democrats will need to focus on addressing the concerns of female voters, particularly on issues like inflation and abortion, in order to secure the necessary support for victory.
