Billy Ray Cyrus, aged 62, has accused his estranged wife, Firerose, of spending $96,000 fraudulently on his credit card. He filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order on June 13, claiming that 37 unauthorized charges were made on his American Express business card by Firerose, legally known as Johanna Hodges. According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Cyrus expressed concern that Firerose may have access to other information that could lead to additional fraudulent charges on his personal and business credit cards and accounts.

In response to the allegations, Firerose stated that there was no emergency and clarified that she had access to the American Express card in question since 2022. Her attorneys argued that the claim of 37 unauthorized charges was untrue and emphasized that during the divorce proceedings, both parties were expected to maintain the status quo of their marriage in terms of living arrangements and financial support.

Prior to the filing of the restraining order, Cyrus had agreed to provide financial support to Firerose during the divorce proceedings. He agreed to pay $500 per night for a period of 10 nights to cover her stay at a hotel or Airbnb, as well as $5,000 per month for suitable housing for a duration of 90 days or until the dissolution of the marriage, whichever came first.

In May, Cyrus filed for an annulment from Firerose, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct. The grounds for annulment were based on the claim that consent to the marriage was obtained through fraud. The couple’s separation date was listed as May 22, 2024.

Sources close to Cyrus revealed that he now believes Firerose is not the person he thought he had married, suggesting that she may have had ulterior motives for the marriage. Despite the current disappointment and trust issues surrounding financial matters, Cyrus is described as a positive individual who aims to move forward from the situation.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose tied the knot on October 10, 2023, in a ceremony held at Cyrus’ Tennessee property. The couple had shared their joyous union on social media, describing it as a perfect celebration of love. Their relationship began over 13 years ago when they first met on the set of “Hannah Montana,” where Cyrus starred alongside his daughter, Miley Cyrus.

As the legal proceedings continue between Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose, the details surrounding the alleged fraudulent spending and the emotional dynamics of their relationship come to light. The complexities of love, trust, and financial matters are highlighted in this high-profile case, shedding light on the challenges faced in marriages and divorces, even among public figures.
