A boil water advisory for a portion of the Fatima-Parcours-du-Cerf neighborhood in the Vieux-Longueuil district was issued late Wednesday afternoon. Those affected should not drink tap water until further notice.
Tap water is not suitable for safe consumption in the area due to a water main break which required urgent work, the City of Longueuil reported in a press release.
The City recommends that people affected by the notice boil running water for at least one minute before drinking until further notice. This instruction will be in effect for a minimum of 24 hours.
Longueuil will issue a notice when the situation is resolved. An interactive map on the City’s website allows you to find out the targeted sectors.
