Boston Celtics trainer Brad Stevens stated Marcus Smart will find an MRI on his left leg Sunday following the shield has been assisted off the court after an embarrassing landing whilst fighting for a rally in the fourth quarter of a 96-95 reduction into the Los Angeles Lakers during Saturday night.
However, after a minute, Smart caught the back of his leg and dropped to the floor, writhing in pain.
Following Boston called timeout, Smart remained down for a little before finally being removed from the court and back into Boston’s locker room by 2 individuals on Boston’s staff. He put no burden whatsoever on his left leg while still being assisted off.
“Yeah, everyone was worried about his health,” Celtics celebrity Jaylen Brown stated following the match. “And he simply, attempting to do our very best to divert that power, since when one man goes down, we have got to measure up.
“Marcus is necessary to our group, guy — he has been great. Whether the numbers reveal it or not, Marcus was a leader on the team; he has been someone that’s been attempting to get men the ball in the ideal areas, for me. So to get him return in the center of the match like that, certainly had everyone worried. Hopefully, the MRI is negative and we get him we could find some wins on the street.”
Smart has for ages become the glue which holds the Celtics collectively, a fervent presence on and off the court along with being among the league’s greatest and most flexible defensive players.
