Brooklyn Nine-Nine Co-Creator Dan Goor Announces New Comedy Series in Development

Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-creator Dan Goor is embarking on a new project, as he sets out to develop a fresh comedy series. Titled Dead Drop, the show will follow the story of a typical American family on a vacation to Europe, only to find themselves inadvertently entangled in the world of international espionage, according to Variety.

In addition to his writing duties, Goor will also take on the role of executive producer through his production company, Dr Goor Productions, with Matt Milkovich on board as a producer. The series will be produced by Universal Television.

Goor’s collaboration with Universal TV dates back to his work on the successful police comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, where he served as an executive producer, showrunner, and co-creator. The show garnered a total of eleven Emmy nominations, with four of them recognizing the late Andre Braugher’s performance.

Aside from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Goor is known for his contributions to the hit NBC comedy Parks and Recreation, where he started as a writer and later became an executive producer. More recently, he worked on the NBC comedy Grand Crew and co-created the Peacock series Killing It, starring Craig Robinson.
