(Clermont) A motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon in a collision in Clermont, in the National Capital, while he was carrying out dangerous maneuvers, said the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Around 2:30 p.m., emergency services were called to intervene on Route 138 near Clermont, at the intersection of Chemin du Friche regarding a collision between a motorcyclist and a recreational vehicle, explains Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the SQ.
The motorcyclist allegedly made dangerous maneuvers while traveling westbound on the 138.
“The latter would not have been able to avoid a collision with a recreational vehicle, which was making a left turn onto Chemin du Friche coming from 138 east. “, said Mr. Scholtus.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene.
The two occupants of the recreational vehicle were treated for shock.
Traffic is alternating on Route 138 at the scene of the accident, said Mr. Scholtus. A police officer trained in collision investigation was dispatched to the scene to establish the causes and circumstances, he said.
