The City Council’s Black Caucus will play a crucial role in the reparations task force, participating in hearings and providing recommendations. However, not all officials are in full support of the initiative. Alderman Nick Sposato raised concerns about the allocation of $500,000 to fund the task force, suggesting that the resources could be better utilized elsewhere. Despite differing opinions, the Mayor remains committed to advancing the reparations agenda.
