There was a swimming accident in the Westfalenbad in Hagen on Sunday. A little girl (6) was found floating lifeless in the water and had to be resuscitated.

Two medical students who happened to be on the scene are said to have administered first aid. The two of them resuscitated the unconscious girl until the emergency services arrived. This is reported by “Bild”.

The child was stabilized on site by rescue workers and taken to a hospital. The girl’s life is currently still in danger.

A rescue helicopter and a pediatric emergency doctor were also on site. The incident occurred shortly before the Westfalenbad closed. It is not known how the accident occurred.
