Ohio Woman Caught on Camera Brandishing Knife Before Fatal Stabbing of Toddler Outside Supermarket
Police in Ohio have released a chilling surveillance video showing a suspect wandering around a shopping center with a knife moments before the fatal stabbing of a 3-year-old boy outside a Giant Eagle supermarket in North Olmsted. Bionca Ellis, 32, is facing an aggravated murder charge after allegedly slashing Julian Wood in the face and back and his 38-year-old mother Margot Wood in the shoulder. The boy later died at a hospital while Ellis had her bond set at $1 million during an initial court appearance.
According to North Olmsted Detective Sgt. Matt Beck, Ellis was seen inside the Volunteers of America thrift store where she obtained a kitchen knife. She was then spotted on Ring camera footage walking around with a pointed object in her hand before following the mother and child out to the parking lot where the attack occurred. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, with authorities citing potential mental health concerns.
911 calls and footage showing the moment Ellis was taken into custody have also been released by the North Olmsted Police Department. Family and friends of the victims have set up a GoFundMe page to support the Wood family, describing the attack as a devastating and senseless act. The page calls for justice and emphasizes the need to cherish and protect loved ones.
