Coldplay’s Chris Martin Gives Fan with Arthritis a Memorable Ride to Big Weekend
Coldplay front-man Chris Martin made a fan’s day by offering her a ride to Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Saundra Glenn, a 64-year-old woman with osteoarthritis and mobility issues, was pleasantly surprised when Martin pulled up in his black Mercedes and offered her a lift.
Initially hesitant, Saundra was eventually persuaded by the singer to hop into the car. She was then escorted to the artist area where Martin made sure she was taken care of and even arranged further transport for her.
During the ride, Saundra and Martin had a heartfelt conversation where the singer promised a surprise related to a BBC Three Counties Radio campaign. Later that evening, Coldplay performed a new track titled “Orange” as a tribute to Luton and its football club.
Saundra described her experience at Radio 1’s Big Weekend as the “coolest festival” and expressed her gratitude towards Chris Martin for his act of kindness. She mentioned how meeting the singer and having a conversation with him was a moment she would forever cherish.
