Dallas Stars coach Rick Bowness was cleared to rejoin the group after recording a false positive on a COVID-19 evaluation that resulted in him being pulled in the seat midgame Sunday.
Bowness left Sunday’s 1-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes following the next period because of the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols. General manager Jim Nill said Sunday the Bowness, who’s completely vaccinated, had probably registered a false positive, which Wednesday’s statement confirmed.
The Stars’ second match is against the Blackhawks on Thursday.
The Stars had a coronavirus epidemic in training camp, together with 17 members of their group testing positive, and also their first four matches were postponed.
In accordance with Nill, all members of this group and its travel party have been vaccinated or were formerly infected with COVID-19.
