Daniel Craig Unveils New Look in Upcoming ‘Knives Out 3’ Movie

The knives are out, but Daniel Craig’s scissors are nowhere to be found as he reveals a new long hairdo in the first look for Rian Johnson’s upcoming mystery film.

Director Rian Johnson shared a photo on social media to mark the beginning of shooting for “Wake Up Dead Man,” the third installment in the “Knives Out” series set to be released in 2025. The image showcases Daniel Craig as the eccentric Southern detective Benoit Blanc, sporting a three-piece suit and a hat.

Craig, who plays a key role in tying the three “Knives Out” movies together, is set to star alongside a star-studded cast in “Wake Up Dead Man,” including Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Josh Brolin, and more.

While details about the movie are scarce, Johnson had previously released a teaser in May that hinted at the title and release year. The video features Craig narrating, “In the beginning, the knives came out. Then, behold, the glass was shattered. But my most dangerous case yet is about to be revealed,” referencing the first two films in the franchise.

Johnson expressed his excitement for the upcoming movie, stating, “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”

“Wake Up Dead Man” is part of Johnson’s deal with Netflix, with the film set to be distributed by the streaming giant. While the previous film had a limited theatrical release before heading to streaming, it remains to be seen how Netflix will handle the release of “Wake Up Dead Man.”
