Indira Ampiot arrives halfway through her reign. In December 2022, the 18-year-old Guadeloupean was elected Miss France 2023 in front of her first runner-up Agathe Cauet (Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais) during an evening broadcast on TF1. Since her coronation, the young Métis has been living a fairy tale.
“At the beginning, I did not realize yet because it was only the beginning”, confided the beauty queen, victim of inappropriate gestures, for Planet. The beginning of a great media whirlwind that has lasted for six months. Red carpets, events and public appearances… Indira Ampiot has become a personality in her own right. However, she assures us to keep our feet on the ground. “I plan to resume my studies, my return to school is scheduled for January 2024”.
In the meantime, Cindy Fabre’s protege continues her reign brilliantly and goes in search of the one who will soon succeed her. Because the 94th edition of the Miss France competition has already been actively preparing for several months. On RTL, producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert revealed the first indiscretions about the next election.
Guest of the program We redo TV broadcast this Saturday, July 1, the new president and CEO of Banijay France was interviewed by Éric Dussart on the date and place of the event. “The election of Miss France 2024, we have the date: December 16”, announces the host supported by the producer who confirms the information by revealing the chosen city. “I can reveal it, it will be in Dijon”.
It is in this Burgundian city that Flora Coquerel, Miss France 2014 was crowned. A locality chosen for a very specific reason according to Alexia Laroche-Joubert. “In the end, we are celebrating a birthday. Ten years ago, there was the election in Dijon, so we are coming back to Dijon and I am very happy because I really like Burgundy”, smiles the friend by Denis Brogniart. Will he also be present during the Miss France 2024 evening?
Barring a big surprise, Jean-Pierre Foucault is the perfect candidate to host the Miss France 2024 election. “You know, I don’t change what works,” defends producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert. And, the day when the emblematic presenter decides to pass the torch, will we see Denis Brogniart, Nikos Aliagas, Camille Combal or a host at the presentation of the election, yet deemed sexist by several feminist associations?
“It can be one or the other. Afterwards, there are a lot of women on the set”, jokes the 53-year-old woman, before Éric Dussart reminds her that Jean-Pierre Foucault is “the captain ” of the liner Miss France. For the moment, “we do not know how to ask the question”, tempers his guest.
Since the coronation of Indira Ampiot last December, departmental elections have taken place in the four corners of France. The arrival of summer also marks the beginning of the regional selections with Tahiti which opened the ball. The first candidate elected in the national competition is called Ravahere Silloux.
A student in a master’s degree in digital marketing, the 24-year-old candidate was elected on June 23, 2023 in Papeete. Will she be elected Miss France 2024? Here is the course of the next elections which will elect the future contenders until next October.
