Days With My Stepsister Anime Premieres on July 4 with New Staff and Songs
The highly anticipated television anime adaptation of the popular Gimai Seikatsu (Days With My Stepsister) novels has unveiled its main promotional video, debut date, additional staff, and theme songs in a recent announcement.
The opening theme song, “Tenshi-tachi no Uta” (Song of the Angels), will be performed by fhána, while Kitri will sing the ending theme song, “Suisō no Blanco” (Aquarium Swing). The promotional video gives fans a sneak peek at both songs.
Mark your calendars for July 4, when the anime is set to premiere on AT-X, Kansai TV, Tokyo MX, BS11, d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai. An online screening of the first three episodes is scheduled for June 23.
The new staff additions include Emi Ōta and Toku Watanabe as main animators, Imari Katsuragi as the color designer, Masatoshi Kai as the art director, Shinyo Kondo as the director of photography, and Akane Shiraishi as the editor.
Directed by Tsutomu Ueno at Studio DEEN, the series will feature Mitsutaka Hirota as the series scriptwriter and Manabu Nii as the character designer. CITOCA will compose the music for the anime.
The heartwarming story follows the journey of Yuta Asamura and his stepsister, Saki Ayase, as they navigate their new family dynamic. The novels, written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Hiten, have been well received since the first volume’s release in January 2021.
With the 11th novel volume set to release on July 25 and a manga adaptation illustrated by Yumika Kanade, “Days With My Stepsister” is a must-watch anime for fans of the genre.
