Disneyland Employee Dies After Falling from Golf Cart, Police Report

The employee, identified as Bonnye Mavis Lear, a 60-year-old resident of Fullerton, passed away two days after the incident.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, emergency responders were called to the resort just before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday following a collision backstage involving the employee. She was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries on Friday.

Lear had been a dedicated employee at the Disneyland Resort for 24 years, working in membership services at Club 33, a private dining club within the park. Disneyland Resort president Ken Potrock expressed deep sorrow over the loss, offering condolences to all who knew and worked with Lear. The focus is now on providing support to her family and fellow cast members during this difficult time.
