After Friday’s home match in Alexandria, the Pharaohs will fly to Libya Saturday afternoon for the fourth round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Wael Gomaa, director of Egypt’s national football team made the announcement on Friday.
In the third round, the African qualifiers will see the Pharaohs face off against the Libyan Mediterranean Knights at Alexandria’s Borg Al-Arab Stadium at 9pm Cairo Local Time.
The fourth round will be played Monday.
Gomaa stated to reporters that she had received all permissions for Egypt’s national team to fly to Libya Saturday.
Gomaa said that the crew would fly Saturday at 5:00pm. They will arrive in about two hours. Then, they will go to the hotel to begin their trainings on Sunday.
After the two games in Group F, Libya leads with six points. Egypt is second with four points and Gabon third with three. Angola is last with zero.
The group winner advances to the next level.
