Eminem Teases New Album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’
Eminem has announced the release of his 12th full-length album, titled ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’, set to drop this summer. The rapper made the announcement through a short trailer on social media, following his appearance at the NFL Draft in Detroit.
The trailer features a crime reporter discussing the demise of Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady, known for his controversial and complex rhymes. Longtime collaborator 50 Cent also appears in the clip, describing Slim Shady as a psychopath. Eminem himself concludes the trailer, indicating that the end was inevitable for Slim.
While Eminem’s previous album, ‘Music to Be Murdered By’, was released in January 2020, fans can expect ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’ to hit the shelves this summer, although an exact release date has not been disclosed.
Speculation about a new album began earlier this month when Eminem teased a project titled ‘Infinite 2’ on April Fool’s Day, only for it to be revealed as a joke. However, Dr. Dre recently confirmed that Eminem is indeed working on a new album set to be released this year, with contributions from Dre himself.
A representative for Eminem has assured fans that ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’ is a genuine project and not an extension of any previous pranks or jokes by the rapper.
