(Cologne) Switzerland, which had a first match point to qualify for the round of 16 of Euro 2024, was held to a draw by Scotland 1-1 on Wednesday in Cologne and will have to play its qualification on Sunday against ‘Germany.
The Nati, who were considered favourites, even quickly conceded the first goal, through Scott McTominay (1-0, 13th), before equalising shortly afterwards through Xherdan Shaqiri (26th).
With just one point in two games, the Scots are still alive in this Euro, but will have to beat Hungary on Sunday if they want to have a chance of continuing the adventure.
