Ferrovial, next to the constructor Portuguese Alberto Couto Alves, has won the project to extend the Metro of Porto , in Portugal, for 288 million euros.
As has been detailed this Friday the company, the project includes the extension of a line (Yellow Line) and a new circular (Pink Line), with execution periods of 34 and 42 months, respectively.
In the first case, take out the extension of a stretch of new light rail in double track of 3.15 kilometres. The work also includes the construction of a viaduct, a tunnel 770 meters and three stations.
For the second project, Ferrovial will build a new circular line, 3.1 miles , as well as four new stations, three ventilation shafts and the installation of track and catenary.
The works will begin in the second half of this year, has detailed the company in a press release in which it reminds that you have experience with the construction of rail projects in Madrid, London, Barcelona and Santiago de Chile. Ferrovial is present in Portugal for more than three decades and account there with 1.356 employees.
