This year, the YATAI MTL festival, dedicated to Japanese culture, is taking place around Hangar 1825, along the Lachine Canal.

There will be more than 25 culinary stands where you can enjoy specialties suited to the festive nature of the event. Around thirty stands will offer products ranging from kimonos to artisanal ceramics, matcha and art prints, among others.

Each day will have its own musical and cultural program. Among the highlights of the festival will be the SHIBALADE with shiba and akita dog competition, on Saturday, June 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., a piano concert of film music from Studio Ghibli, by pianist Kanae Nobori, also on Saturday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., then a 1980s Japanese disco Citypop party the same day, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On site, entry costs $5 per person and must be paid by card.
