Following a fairly hectic June, Canada moved up two spots and now sits at 43rd in the FIFA World Rankings.

The top 11 teams in the standings are always the same. Reigning World Cup champions Argentina are first, followed by France, Brazil, England, Belgium, Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and Spain in 10th.

Sixty-two matches have been played since the last FIFA World Rankings were published in June, and Canada have taken part in six of them.

Head coach John Herdman’s squad went 2-2-2 during that streak, with both of their losses coming against the United States – in the Concacaf Nations League final and then in the Gold Cup quarter-finals.

However, Canada is third in the Concacaf zone, having edged out Costa Rica. Canada has already ranked 33rd in the world rankings, in February 2022.
