(Saint Paul) The Minnesota Wild signed goaltender Filip Gustavsson, who was a restricted free agent, to a three-year, $11.25 million contract.
Gustavsson, 25, appeared in 39 games last season with the Wild, going 22-9-7 with a 2.10 GAA and .931 save percentage. He also had three shutouts.
He also had five starts in the playoffs, but the Wild gave up in front of the Dallas Stars.
In 66 NHL games with the Ottawa Senators and Wild, Gustavsson is 32-22-10 with a 2.51 GAA and .920 save percentage.
The Wild acquired his services from the Senators on July 12, 2022 in exchange for veteran Cam Talbot.
He was originally a second-round pick, 55th overall, of the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016.
On the international stage, Gustavsson notably helped Sweden win silver at the World Junior Hockey Championship in 2018.
