The economic support that the International Sailing Federation -World Sailing – you will receive, like the rest of sports, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will allow you to mitigate the impact of the pandemic COVID-19 and to continue with its plans for Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.

The IOC has reserved financial aid package of 150 million dollars (133 million euros) to the International Federations, which could be used to provide loans and advance payments on the expected income of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, now postponed to 2021.
Kim Andersen, president of World Sailing, he thanked “the continuing support of the IOC and president Thomas Bach.”
“The financial support provided by the IOC will ensure that we can continue the preparations and the development of our sport and our sailors for the JJ.OO. Tokyo and Paris 2024”, added.
