Metro, FLO and auto (electric) will soon rhyme and link up.
The grocer and electric vehicle charging solutions provider have partnered to offer at least 500 fast charging ports in more than 130 Metro, Super C, Food Basics and Marché Adonis grocery stores in Quebec and Ontario.
Installation will begin in early August. With an output of up to 320 kW, the FLO Ultra station is able to charge most new electric vehicles (EVs) to 80% in 15 minutes.
“This partnership aims to integrate the best EV charging experience into everyday life and make it as common as doing your grocery shopping,” said Louis Tremblay, President and CEO of FLO, in a press release.
Part of these new installations is supported by FLO’s partnership with the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB), which plans to provide $235 million to install more than 1,900 public fast charging ports in Canada by 2027 .
