PORT HURON — Here are some highlights from the recent high school football playoff games in the Blue Water Area.

In Division 2, De La Salle dominated Port Huron Northern with a score of 49-0. This game marked the end of Port Huron Northern’s season, finishing with a 7-3 record overall.

Moving on to Division 4, Lutheran North defeated St. Clair with a score of 48-30. St. Clair wrapped up their season with a 6-4 record.

In Division 5, Armada secured a victory over Richmond with a score of 37-10. This win brought Armada’s record to 9-1, earning them a spot in the district final against Hazel Park. On the other hand, Richmond concluded their season with a 4-6 record.

In Division 6, Ovid-Elsie triumphed over Almont with a score of 44-21. Almont finished the season strong with a 9-1 record. Additionally, Marine City emerged victorious against Clintondale with a score of 50-30. Paul Muscat showcased an impressive performance, running for 66 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Cooper Letson also contributed to the win with 23 rushing yards and two scores. Marine City, with an 8-2 record, will face either Warren Michigan Collegiate or Royal Oak Shrine Catholic in the upcoming district final.

Lastly, in Division 8, Lutheran Northwest defeated Cardinal Mooney with a score of 40-14. Cardinal Mooney wrapped up their season with a 4-6 record.

In other news, Almont’s running back Luke Winkler was named the Times Herald’s Prep Football Player of the Week for Week 9. Winkler’s outstanding performance included running for 164 yards and scoring three touchdowns on seven attempts during the Raiders’ 41-22 victory over Detroit Edison on Oct. 25.
