Fred Richard, a 20-year-old gymnast from Stoughton, Massachusetts, is on the verge of finding out if he will be competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics after earning a gold medal at the national championships earlier this year. Despite the short career lifespan of a gymnast, Richard has ambitious goals of competing in a minimum of three, possibly four Olympic Games.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Richard expressed his dedication to the sport of gymnastics, stating, “Gymnastics is a lifestyle right now. I think I’m gonna keep doing this for a while. 2028 is going to be huge. L.A. Olympics, that’s the one that I want to be destroying everybody at. I got four years to really give everything to the sport.”

If he achieves his goal of competing in four Olympics, Richard would be participating in the 2036 Games at the age of 36. As a partner with Celsius, an energy drink, Richard believes that the brand aligns with the athlete lifestyle and provides the necessary energy for his intense training sessions.

Joining the likes of fellow athletes Blake Corum and Noah Lyles on Celsius’ roster, Richard appreciates the 200 milligrams of caffeine in the drink for an added boost on days when he needs it most. Despite the pressure of being considered a likely Olympian since the age of 10, Richard acknowledges the sacrifices made by his family and supporters and hopes to make them proud by showcasing his skills on the Olympic stage.

While winning medals would be a significant achievement, Richard’s primary focus is on delivering outstanding performances and leaving a lasting impression on spectators. He aims to have people recognize his talent and potential for greatness, inspiring them to follow his journey in the sport of gymnastics.

As Richard continues to train and prepare for the upcoming Olympic Games, he remains determined to push himself to new heights and represent his country with pride. With his sights set on multiple Olympic appearances, Richard is poised to make a lasting impact in the world of gymnastics and inspire future generations of athletes to pursue their dreams relentlessly.
