GardaWorld Security Corporation announced Friday the signing of contracts worth a total of $2.7 billion with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority.

These agreements cover the provision of boarding security services for passengers, airport personnel, crew members, cabin crew and baggage in CATSA’s largest administrative regions ― Central and the East ― representing 45 airports, or half of all CATSA airports.

GardaWorld will notably serve two of the largest international airports in Canada, Toronto Pearson Airport and Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, which between them welcome a total of 55 million travelers per year.

These five-year deals are valued at approximately $2.7 billion in total, with two options to extend for five years each. The agreements will come into effect on April 1, 2024.

GardaWorld has worked with CATSA since 2003 and employs over 5,000 screening officers.
