(East Rutherford) Tommy DeVito completed a 32-yard pass to Wan’Dale Robinson to set the stage for Randy Bullock’s 37-yard field goal at the end of regulation, and the New York Giants defeated the Packers Green Bay 24-22, Monday night.
It was the Packers’ first December loss since head coach Matt LaFleur took charge of the team in 2019.
The Giants went 57 yards in eight plays after Jordan Love threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Malik Heath with 1:33 left.
The Packers then tried a two-point conversion, but linebacker Bobby Okereke stopped Jayden Reed on the sequence.
DeVito ran for 71 yards in the game, which was the Giants’ third straight victory. The quarterback threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Hodgins and allowed his offense to score the major on four offensive sequences. Of these sequences, Saquon Barkley concluded two, with touchdowns of five yards and one yard. The Giants defense generated three turnovers.
DeVito finished with 17 of 21 completions for 158 yards. He had a 26-yard run, setting up Barkley’s one-yard major in the third quarter.
Love completed 25 of 39 passes for 218 yards. He was the victim of an interception.
