Joe Judge, the former head coach of the New York Giants, had a tough time during his two-year stint with the team. After finishing the 2021 season with only four wins, the Giants decided to part ways with Judge. Despite the fact that some time has passed since Judge was in charge of the team, former Giants wide receiver Golden Tate still seems to hold some resentment towards his old coach.

When asked about his experience playing for the Giants and commuting to their facility on social media, Tate didn’t hold back. In a video posted online, Tate described his time with the Giants as “interesting” and talked about the challenges he faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also took a dig at Judge, referring to him as “one of the Patriots’ descendants” who tried to emulate the coaching style of Bill Belichick but failed.

Judge was one of several coaches who had worked under Bill Belichick in New England and went on to become head coaches themselves. However, coaches like Matt Patricia, Josh McDaniels, and Charlie Weis struggled to replicate the success they had in New England once they left the Patriots organization.

Tate only spent one season playing under Judge, joining the Giants in 2019 before Judge became the head coach in 2020. While Judge was initially praised for his hiring as a former special teams coordinator, Tate hinted that there were underlying issues within the team during Judge’s tenure.

During the 2020 season, Tate recorded 388 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. In contrast, he had a more productive season in 2019, finishing with 676 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

Judge has since joined the coaching staff at Ole Miss as an analyst. Despite the criticism from Tate and other former players, Judge continues to pursue his coaching career. For more sports coverage, you can follow Fox News Digital and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
