Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, took the stage as one of the first speakers of the night, setting the stage for former President Donald Trump’s appearance.
Hogan, a six-time WWE champion, brought his iconic Hulkamania spirit with him as he addressed the audience. Expressing his support for Trump, Hogan ripped off his shirt to reveal a Trump-Vance 2024 shirt underneath, in a classic pro wrestling fashion. He declared, “Let Trump-a-mania run wild, brother. Let Trump-a-mania rule again. Let Trump-a-mania make America great again,” flexing his muscles for emphasis.
Drawing parallels between himself and Trump’s running mate JD Vance to his legendary tag-team partnership with the late Randy Savage, Hogan praised the duo as the “greatest tag team of his life” who would “straighten this country out for all the real Americans.”
Hogan exuded confidence in Trump’s leadership, predicting that “America is going to get back on track” with Trump at the helm and his loyal supporters, the “Trump-ites,” by his side for the next four years. Expressing his pride in endorsing his hero as the next president, Hogan posed a rhetorical question to criminals and corrupt politicians, asking, “Whatcha gonna do when Donald Trump and all the Trump-a-maniacs run wild on you, brother?”
Beyond his wrestling career, Hogan has ventured into acting, appearing in films like “Rocky III” and TV shows like “Thunder in Paradise.” Despite his success, Hogan has faced controversies, including a sex tape lawsuit and racist remarks that led to his temporary removal from the WWE Hall of Fame. Since retiring from wrestling, Hogan has maintained a low profile, occasionally appearing on WWE TV. He now owns Hogan’s Hangout in Clearwater, Florida, where karaoke nights are held on Mondays.
