The Federal government has agreed on the final Details of the controversial draft law on immigration of skilled workers. How the German press Agency learned on Tuesday from the Federal Ministry of the interior, shall adopt the Cabinet of Ministers the draft as planned this Wednesday. Some EU politicians in the hope, however, in some cases, on subsequent changes in the parliamentary procedure.
Controversial until recently it was, among other things, how much time to get skilled labour, lack of qualifications of catching up to do. The Union wanted to prevent that the new “employment Duldung” is for rejected asylum seekers to a shortcut on the path to a permanent establishment. The economy yearns to facilitate the immigration of labour. A few days ago the Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU), Minister for economic Affairs, Peter Altmaier (CDU), Minister of labour, Hubertus Heil (SPD) and the Chancellery chief Helge Braun (CDU), warned the associations in a joint Letter ahead of a tightening of the rules.
