Lukas McClish sets off alone on a short hike to California. It is supposed to take three hours. But he gets lost and is only found ten days later.
Lukas McClish (34) from Boulder Creek went on a mountain hike in California. He started his tour on June 11, the Guardian reports. “I had nothing with me except a flashlight and a pair of scissors because I thought it would take three hours,” said Lukas McClish. But he got lost and lost his bearings.
When he did not return on Father’s Day, June 16, his family alerted police, and a search and rescue operation began involving dozens of police officers and emergency personnel from the Boulder Creek area.
On the afternoon of June 20, McClish’s cries for help were suddenly heard. He was eventually found exhausted at the bottom of a ravine in a densely wooded area, rescued to safety and reunited with his family, the sheriff announced on social media.
To avoid dehydration, McClish collected water from a mountain stream with his boots and satisfied his hunger with wild berries. “The whole time I was out there, I felt good – I wasn’t worried,” McClish says.
“I think there was just someone there who was looking out for me.” Now he is tired, a little under the weather and has lost his voice, he told “abc7news.”
Lots of sun and rising temperatures are now the order of the day again. If you drive a lot, you’ll probably rely heavily on the air conditioning in your car. Not without reason, as it cools significantly more and faster than leaving the windows open while driving. But you should still be careful.
The Erzgebirge district is throwing Ukrainians out of their housing to make room for other asylum seekers. Those affected fear for their existence and the Refugee Council has sharply criticized the approach.
