Three children aged between nine and twelve have been missing from a children’s and youth facility in Norderstedt since Sunday evening. The police are asking for information.
According to the police, who contacted the public on Tuesday morning, the missing children are nine-year-old Georgios, the boy Can-Tyran (11) and the girl Ayla-Jolin (12). All three have been missing from the children’s home on Henstedter Weg since Sunday evening at around 10.30 p.m.
The SOS Children’s Village Harksheide does not want to comment on the details. “Children’s and data protection are our priority at the moment,” says facility manager Jörg Kraft.
According to the police, there is currently no evidence “that criminal offenses are connected with the missing persons cases.”
As a police spokesman told the “Kieler Nachrichten”, there was apparently an argument with a carer immediately before the disappearance. “There was apparently a disagreement and the children were reprimanded as a result,” said police spokesman Jens Zeidler.
However, the argument was apparently not a major dispute. “A short time later, the staff noticed that the three residents were not in their beds,” Zeidler continued.
Although there is currently much evidence to suggest that the children disappeared as a reaction to the previous conflict, it must still be assumed that they are at risk due to their young age.
“Because the children have left their usual environment and their whereabouts are unknown, we assume that they are at risk due to their age,” reports Zeidler.
The girl and the older boy are both slim and about 1.52 meters tall. The girl was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and dark pants, the eleven-year-old a black sweater and dark pants. The nine-year-old is believed to be wearing dark clothing and is only about 1.35 meters tall. Any police station or call 110 will accept tips.
