On Friday evening, police shot dead an attacker armed with a knife in Wolmirstedt in Saxony-Anhalt. The man had previously threatened and injured three people with a knife.
When the officers arrived, the attacker attacked the police officers and then fired a firearm, as Bild reported, citing a police spokeswoman. The perpetrator then died in hospital.
