John J. York, beloved star of “General Hospital,” recently shared his emotional journey battling cancer. York, who took a hiatus from the show in September, revealed on “Good Morning America” that he was diagnosed with two types of blood and bone marrow cancer after a routine check-up in December 2022. These types were myelodysplastic syndrome and smoldering multiple myeloma, as per the Mayo Clinic.
