(London) The sexual assault case involving five former Junior Team Canada players will return to court in August.
The case of Dillon Dube, Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton will return to court on August 13, to potentially set a trial date.
A first hearing, behind closed doors, must take place in July, and others must also follow in September.
The five players were charged earlier this year in connection with an alleged sexual assault that allegedly occurred at a hotel in London, Ontario, in 2018.
The hockey players are all charged with sexual assault, and McLeod faces an additional charge of “participating in the offence.”
The players chose to submit to a trial before a judge and jury.
