During his 90-minute speech, Mr. Trump criticized Ms. Harris’s intelligence, communication skills, and focused on issues such as immigration, crime, and inflation. He also made false claims about winning Georgia twice, despite President Biden winning the state by 12,000 votes in 2020 and Mr. Trump facing charges related to his attempts to overturn the election results.
On the other hand, Vice President Harris did not have any public events scheduled for the weekend as she was reportedly meeting with potential running mates. Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, who was considered a finalist, canceled a trip to New Hampshire, with his spokesman citing a change in schedule.
