Comedian Lise Dion, aged 68, was preparing to go on stage at the Zénith de Saint-Eustache last Friday evening, when she felt unwell. Her manager and producer Daniel Senneville confirmed Monday that she suffered a myocardial infarction. She is still hospitalized, but is doing well, he said.
“Currently hospitalized, she will have to devote the next few weeks to taking care of her state of health and experiencing a real convalescence,” he wrote in a short communication. “Lise Dion would like to thank the people who have shown her their real affection over the past few days,” he added.
Lise Dion was to present her show Chu here, as part of a final tour which will put an end to a 35-year career on stage and screen. His last show was scheduled for December 22 in Brossard.
Ticket holders for shows scheduled until December 22 will be informed of the refund or postponement procedure, its manager said.
