29-year-old Llarissa Pye travelled from Lanzarote to England especially for her father’s wedding. It was only shortly before departure that she realised a serious mistake.

Llarissa Pye (29) has been living on Lanzarote – her adopted home – for nine years. But because her father is getting married, she booked a flight to England. At the end of May, the time had come. Shortly before the plane took off, the 29-year-old realized that she had made a big mistake, as the “Daily Mail” writes.

According to the report, there was a misunderstanding. Llarissa thought her father had informed her that he was getting married next Saturday, June 2. To be able to attend, she booked a one-way flight for £200 (around €237) and changed her shift, writes the Daily Mail.

On the day of departure, she wrote to her family that she was now at the airport. They tried to contact Llarissa after the message. However, the 29-year-old did not read the messages until shortly before departure. She then called her father, who, according to her, said: “Llarissa, the wedding is not until next year.” The Daily Mail goes on to say that the two laughed on the phone.

The 29-year-old posted a video on TikTok about her mishap. She explained that she had just gone on a five-day mini-vacation with her family instead. And she already has an idea how she can use her mishap: she now has a good story for her speech at the wedding.

Leonie (25) and Andreas Hofherr (29) from Baden-Württemberg had imagined their wedding in June 2024 differently. Because instead of sunshine, there was flooding. In the end, pictures were even taken on an inflatable boat, as “bild.de” and the “Schwäbische Zeitung” report.
