Love Island contestant from Sussex footballer favourite for £50,000 prize

A Lewes FC footballer is a favourite to win Love Island.

Bookmakers have revealed the TV dating show’s candidates’ odds for this year’s season 11 and how likely they are to win the £50,000 cash prize.

Footballer Ronnie Vint is the bookies’ favourite for male winner of the show, joint with Ciaran Davies.

According to the Online Betting Guide, there is a 22.2 per cent probability that he will be part of the winning couple.

Reacting to the news that the footballer would be appearing on the show, Lewes FC said: “It’s happening again… Good luck, Ronnie.”

Last year, the show featured former Lewes FC player Tyrique Hyde, who placed second alongside Ella Thom.

Meanwhile, Brighton dancer Harriet Blackmore has been given an 18.2 per cent chance of winning the ITV2 show.

The pair both have famous connections as Ronnie is close friends with previous contestant Olivia Atwood and her footballer husband Bradley Dack while Harriet used to be Brighton rapper Ardee’s personal shopper.
