(Belleair Beach) Lilia Vu quickly found her rhythm with three birdies at the start of her round, signing a final card of 66 to win The Annika tournament on Sunday.
Vu started the final round three shots behind leader Emily Kristine Pedersen, but made three birdies in the first six holes and then escaped into the lead with two more consecutive birdies.
Pedersen, who was trying to win her first LPGA tournament, was unable to make a birdie. She made two bogeys and a double bogey, so that she delivered a final card of 74 which gave her fifth place in the final ranking.
Canadian Brooke Henderson (68) took 19th place, nine strokes behind the winner. Her card of 62 at the end of the first day of competition had temporarily placed her in the lead.
The LPGA season concludes next week in Naples, Florida.
