Pop icon Cher had a special holiday with her family.
Madonna ensured she was surrounded with family to start this holiday season.
The 63-year old pop icon singer posted a video montage of her Thanksgiving celebration to Instagram. It was set to Sly and The Family Stone’s “Family Affair” songs. The thumbnail featured a glamour shot of Madonna in the middle of her five children, Mercy James, 15, Estere Ciccone, and Stella Ciccone.
Madonna’s 21 year-old son with Guy Ritchie, Rocco was absent from the festivities.
The montage lasted for about a minute and featured many clips from the day. These included behind-the scenes moments of cooking, family fun outside, and dinnertime together. Madonna and David can be seen dancing in the dining room at one point. They both bow to each other at the end. The family got in place to take the thumbnail photo at the end of the montage.
“It’s a Family affair ,” Madonna captioned the post before adding the hashtags, “#givingthanks #slyandthefamilystone.”
Friends and fans alike enjoyed seeing the singer with her family during the holiday.

Another comment was, “The family that plays together stays together.”
One fan commented that “Your family is so happy” while another said, “Family. Our roots, our love. Our future. Us.”
Madonna posted dozens of photos taken at her Thanksgiving celebration with her family to her Instagram Stories. All were captioned with the same message: “Giving thanks.”
Some photos of the holiday tablescape were included, along with some shots of festive decorations and napkins.
Two photos of her guests were shared by she, including Luigi Murenu and Iango Shenzi as well as Steven Klein, a photographer. Some behind-the scenes shots of her children were also included, with either their mother or one of them posing together for the occasion.
Madonna rarely gives us such a detailed glimpse into her family’s life, including her children. To celebrate her son’s 21st birthday, Madonna shared rare photos of her eldest child, Rocco back in August on Instagram.
She shared an Insta video a few months earlier to mark the 90th birthday of Silvio Ciccone. It featured videos and photos of her children celebrating their grandfathers milestone birthday at his Michigan vineyard.
“He taught me the importance of hard work and earning one’s way in life………….Again I thank you,” she wrote in part about her father. It was so special to celebrate your 90th birthday in your vineyard with you and your children.
Madonna spent Thanksgiving last year with her family, surrounded by her children. A video montage she shared on Instagram to Nina Simone’s song “Love Me Or Leave Me” included a sweet clip showing the family taking a photo. Then, there were a few clips of David playing his guitar and the family hanging out.
She captioned the post, “A Beautiful Souvenir Giving thanks,”
