Malikah Shabazz (56), was born after Malcolm X’s assassination in 1965.
Police said Malikah Shabazz was one of six daughters of Malcolm X. She was 56 years old.
Shabazz was discovered unresponsive at her Brooklyn home around 4:30 p.m., after her daughter called 911. Authorities told NBC New York.
According to NBC New York, the cause of her death was not determined and she has not been deemed suspicious.
Shabazz, the youngest of Malcolm X’s daughters, is married to Betty Shabazz. She also has Malaak, her twin sister. After Malcolm X’s death at 39, the twins were born in 1965. They were killed in a gunshot at the Audubon Ballroom in New York City on February 21, 1965.
Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. was the first to tweet her condolences.

Shabazz’s demise comes days after two men convicted of murdering Malcolm X were exonerated.
